Thoughts On Telepathy

Telepathy is when one person transfers their thoughts and emotions to another person often over great distances.

Most people believe this to be a type of communication that is well above every other type. Even scientists and animal trainers have done extensive research and found that animals are able to do this from very far distances. Keep in mind this isn’t some small study, it’s actually to a point where they believe this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Many years ago it was believed that primitive tribes possessed the power of telepathy, and anthropologists still believe it today.

The truth of the matter is that telepathy isn’t some esoteric subject. If we would believe that it’s just as reputable as learning a new language, people would accept it much easier. Seriously, we always recognize those who have issues with speech, so why is it so difficult to acknowledge those individuals who possess extraordinary powers. Shouldn’t we consider the people who can’t do it as just having defectiveness?

One thing to understand is that most of our societies over many thousands of years have simply lost their telepathic powers. We now see it as being natural to only use speech, and the common five senses, but it was not always like that.

When you hear people talk about the “sixth sense,” they are often referring to things such as telepathy. Others may call it the “third eye,” although there are subtle differences in these two phrases they mean basically the same.

Have you ever had a gut feeling come over you? Did it end up happening? Telepathy works in many different forms, and often times we miss it for a simple rush or just negative thinking. The problem is when it happens you find yourself wondering why you didn’t pay attention to your thoughts. Then again, there are positive times like a friend you haven’t heard from in a long time calls you within the same week you thought about them. It’s crazy to think about, but things like this happen all the time, yet we overlook them as mere coincidences, even though a mother/child power is accepted.

While there is no real answer as to why humans lost touch with telepathic powers, but it’s usually because we just stopped believing. Then of course there are many religions out there that don’t believe this is a transcendent power from God. Instead religions like Christianity and Islam believe this to be a Satanic tool that has possessed the person with demonic powers.

The debate over this subject continues to surface every now and again, but the truth of the matter is that religions have a lot of power over our civilization. We are taught that our own natural abilities should be pushed aside for the Messiah, the Savior, or the Prophet (depending on your religion).

While we aren’t trying to offend anyone, you have to ask why religions would be so distrustful of telepathy. Our own opinion is that if others possess a power such as this, they can challenge the leaders of the church. Since no one wants to lose their power, they keep everyone suppressed about the matter. Granted, it’s not like this everyone, but when cases arise it’s usually the reason.

Everyone deals with different religions, but if they’re not pushing down telepathy, scientists who are narrow minded are the next in line. They believe that telepathy cannot be numerically measured to get enough serious consideration. They also exclaim that it can’t be tasted, or even touched. Keep in mind there are several scientists who believe in the telepathy powers, but they are few and far between.

Instead you will find that we classify telepathic experiences as connections and instincts. We believe this is true only because those scientists, who try to bring the negative side to it, can’t experience it themselves. However, they’re always quick to acknowledge a strange or gut feeling as an instinct. While this wouldn’t normally be a big deal, it’s hard to understand considering these traits are just as elusive as telepathy.

We could run through all kinds of questions, but you would only come back with more. Many times when something cannot be explained in a complex term, then these individuals can’t accept it as their own. Seriously, would you want everyone else to have something you couldn’t? Of course not, which is why they explain its instincts and not telepathy.

Maybe we can date back this loss as far as the Tower of Babylon story featured in the bible and the confusion that surrounded languages. Maybe it wasn’t just language that was a setback; maybe people who used telepathy had this problem as well.
