Noah and the Flood
The Flood of the Bible is a great story to tell your kids one day, but are we just telling myths to our children? Well, the flood of the bible is not actually a myth and can be proven within the very earth we walk on.
There are billions of fossils found on the earth’s surface. Today we know there are fossils that have been found, seen, and documented and there will be many more to come. These fossils are historic markers of the very life that was in existence during the time Noah lived on the earth. But that is not proof in itself. How do we know there was actually a flood that the bible tells? Most of the fossils have been found buried deep in the sedimentation. They were found to be etched into rock by bits and pieces of rocks or other materials that have traveled by way of water or liquid pushing the materials to these new places. These pieces of rock were redeposited in the place they exist now. What is so amazing is that there is no place on earth where these particular fossils can not be found. What has moved these same animals, or vertebrates to different places on the earth? And how can a plant or tree living in Noah’s environment be found buried deep within a rock or a fish fossil be found on a mountain top? How can these things be explained?
Sedimentary rock makes up most of the earth’s surface. The remaining surface is volcanic igneous and metamorphic rock. The trees that were buried in different angles in the stone, and the oysters on a mountain top tell scientists this is the result of a marine cataclysm. And it is not just in one place or one country. It is found all over the world.
The fossils found include shellfish, marine invertebrates, algae and plants. There are insects, land vertebrates and dinosaur bones as well. One may also recall a time when you have gone hiking or camping and found fossils of marine life on top of a mountain. These fossils are remnants of what many call, The Great Flood or the Flood of the Bible.
There is a lot to be studied when we consider the earth’s surface and what historical signs it points us to. But we can all see it is not a far fetched idea, because we have all, at one time or another seen a fossil and the mystery of the Flood of the Bible becomes less of a mystery and more of a truth.
