4 Triggers to Discovering Your Life Purpose

1. Have you ever felt those strong emotions that come from watching a good movie, or listening to a good CD? Your emotions are simply energy in emotion. And this ocean of motion is a clue to discovering your life purpose. The better you feel, the stronger your desire. And desire is the fuel to your vehicle; the power to propel you to living a purpose filled life.

2. Inspiration. Do you get emotional during specific scenes in certain movies? Rocky is one of my all time favorites. I’ll never forget when Rocky defeated Apollo in the first movie. It was an awesome triumph; he put his heart and soul into being the champ. He rose above and became the greatest fighter – he was a warrior; and that’s what I see in myself. I see someone with phenomenal determination to persist and climb to the top.

What movies inspire you? During what scenes? Why?

3. Time stood still. Any time you’re doing something and you seem to loose track of time, you’re living on purpose. Maybe you’ve experienced those moments when you were in the “flow.” Those times when it seemed you could go on forever without stopping – as if time didn’t exist. Flow states are clues to your life purpose. It takes practice and recognition to become aware of your flow states.

What was it about those moments that really flowed?

4. Love what you do. The number of people who do things they hate shocks me – stop it! Start by bringing into your life more and more ways to do the things that you really love to do. Have you fallen in love before? Remember that feeling of being with one person when you couldn’t get them off your mind? Being on purpose is like that – you’re in love with who you are and what you’re doing. You’re living a purpose filled life.
