We have the legal right to become a son of God, because we believe in Jesus. He died and rose for us so that we have this right. We should follow his footstep to develop a good relationship with the Father in heaven. No one are born and immediately understand his calling and identity in the spirit, not even Jesus. The Bible tells us that even Jesus grew and went through a process of learning. There are at least three things we can imitate to train ourselves to be a manifested son of God.

Firstly, Jesus learned about the will of God and the destiny of himself from the words in the scripture. When Jesus came He said offering and sacrifice are not what God want. Jesus said God, I came to fulfill your will and my things are already written in the scripture.

Jesus watched the lives of His earthly parents and was affected by their testimonies. Mary experienced angelic visitations, dreams and visions about her pregnancy and birth of this great messiah. She kept them in heart and meditated day and night.

The third testimony He received is from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit witnessed to Him that He is the son of God and assisted Him to fellowship with the Father. Jesus said the Holy Spirit would come and lead us into all truth. And this is what He experienced also.

All these are in fact testimonies. These three things told Jesus that He is the Son of God. He is the great savior who will fulfill every will of God. In the same way, these three testimonies would also tell us that we are indeed the sons of God who will fulfill the will of God also.

To become a full-grown son of God like Jesus, we must learn to utilize the power hidden in testimonies. They are records of God actions. They are our inheritance. From the testimonies of the scripture, of people and of Holy Spirit, we can gain access to unlimited power from on high. We must use this to show the good works of God, to transform ourselves and others.

The seemingly endless obligations both at work and home can leave little space for prayer and meditation in the daily routine. Given that Christians are instructed to "pray without ceasing" and meditate on scripture "day and night", a conflict arises that often weighs heavily on the conscience. Rather than being a negative, this could simply indicate the Holy Spirit is calling individuals into conversation with their Heavenly Father. No corner of creation is exempt from God's presence, and this includes the soft walls of the office cubicle. With some intention and innovation, a cubicle can become a location for Bible study and prayer, and without impacting the work tasks for the day.

The seemingly endless obligations both at work and home can leave little space for prayer and meditation in the daily routine. Given that Christians are instructed to “pray without ceasing” and meditate on scripture “day and night”, a conflict arises that often weighs heavily on the conscience. Rather than being a negative, this could simply indicate the Holy Spirit is calling individuals into conversation with their Heavenly Father. No corner of creation is exempt from God’s presence, and this includes the soft walls of the office cubicle. With some intention and innovation, a cubicle can become a location for Bible study and prayer, and without impacting the work tasks for the day.

There is a wealth of devotionals online. If a workplace does not allow any private Internet access, many mobile phones now provide Internet connections and access to Bible study resources. Making an online devotional your first action in the morning helps keep an upright mind through the day, and ensures that these moments with the Lord will not be inched out by a full schedule. This will most likely take just a few moments and might even fill downtime while other office machines are starting up.

Among all the writings in the world, there is no substitute for the word of God. Reading a chapter from an online Bible is a meaningful follow-up to a devotional. Often a devotional will contain a short passage of scripture and the chapter of the Bible that contains this passage can be the chapter for the day. Reading of scripture can also be done first thing in the morning or later in the day as time permits.

To make time for prayer and remembering Christ, a walk down the street provides the opportunity for solitude and focus. Sites along the way may also generate ideas for prayer, either immediate situations or forgotten topics that are somehow related to the present scenery. There are obviously physical benefits that may result from regular walking. Once this approach becomes a pattern, a “walk with God” may be greeted with heartfelt anticipation each day.

The environment inside the office also serves as inspiration for prayer. Simply seeing a cubicle neighbor can be a reminder of a specific need in his or her life. Reading the countenance of a colleague may be enough to pray for an unspoken prayer request. A Christian is perpetually in the mission field and prayer is a humble and powerful force in the world.

Christian music is available in the cubicle from multiple sources, including radio, the Web or an MP3 player. Having Christian songs in the background provides perspective on all the activities of the day. Being reminded of God’s presence in the workplace gives a Christian freedom from anxiety that can be detrimental to health and productivity.

The joy of the Christian life is God’s continual presence. Welcoming the Father into the workplace will transform that workplace into a location of healing and grace.

Psalm 55:6 is a terrific verse. It says, “Oh that I had wings like a dove for then I would fly away and be at rest.”

We’ve all felt at times that we just want to get away from everything and everyone. We need rest in these situations. These are the days where nothing seems to go according to plan, and you feel that being absolutely anywhere else would be more restful or peaceful.

The Bible has something to say about it. In Matthew chapter 11 we read “Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

I love that promise in verse 28, “Come unto me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He doesn’t say, “I might,” or “maybe,” or “if you’re good enough,” or “if you ask nicely enough.” He says, “Come, I will give you rest.”

It’s not uncommon for people to be unclear about how they can go to the Lord. we all need rest at times, but they may be unsure about what they can do to go to the Lord.

The way we come before the Lord is to just simply bring ourselves. Bring that tired body and just sit down. Rest a while and soak in the beauty of His creation. Just allow yourself some time to do nothing except to rest your body when it is tired.

Mental rest is also needed from time to time in this stressful world in which we live. To get mental rest you need to be able to re-direct your attention from work, relationships, or whatever is the source of your stress and anxiety. Think about pleasant things that help you to relax, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

To get emotional rest, focus on things that make you feel at peace. Get your attention away from anything that leads to anxious feelings. Think of things that make you laugh and smile. Come before God in prayer and share your feelings with Him. He already knows your thoughts and feelings, so there is no reason to try and hide anything.

Come before Him in worship and praise. Just tell Him how great He is. Read the Psalms. Pray the Psalms and sing them. Sing some of the old hymns. Meditate for a while just thinking about the greatness of God and His promises. Come before Him by reading His Word. Come to the Lord. He promises, “I will give you rest.” That’s the way to have those wings, take off and fly and be at rest.

Like so many other people I’m sure, I think that our popular media is going down the tubes fast. I don’t know if this has most to do with the fact that I am Christian and more sensitive than some, but I think our media is outright trash sometimes. And the worse thing is that I don’t see it getting any better.

To be clearer, I am talking about things like kid’s books, movies and music. These aren’t the only things by any means, but they are some main ones. It’s not that I want to have to eliminate all these things from my life completely, but I also see clearly that the need for a Christ centered existence is more necessary than ever.

Church helps, obviously. There are few things better than going to church on Sunday to bring good influences back into my life. All the great Christian resources I have access to are really helpful to me. Church is a place where I can re-unite with friends, worship, and think about the good things in life.

One of the other things that are a huge help to me are all the Christian stores that supply me with good media. Whether you realize it or not, there are a lot of Christian stores in the U.S. But if you can’t find a brick and mortar store, you can always shop on the internet for anything you need.

The great thing about these Christian stores is that there are good products for the children that I approve of. There are already too many children’s books out there that might be entertaining but have no true value. I would probably rather have my kids reading books about Bible characters than wizards or witches.

Christian art is plentiful at stores like these, and I’m sure glad it is. Most of the more famous Christ paintings are available for purchase. Since we are on the theme of making our homes more spiritual and conducive to Christ-like influences, what could possibly better than hanging up good artwork?

And let’s not forget all the great church resources that they provide for our congregations. These Christian stores are responsible for some of the nice bulletins and certificates that we sometimes take for granted. These items make our church experience even better than it would be otherwise.

My point is that amidst all the bad media that is out there, there are ways to expose our families to good things like Christian resources. All it takes is a visit to a Christian specialty store to find what you need.

Because therethere are limited resources to buy quality and inspiring media, you can turn to Christian stores to buy quality Christian supplies. You and your family will be glad you did.

Without a doubt, children are affected in very deep ways by exposing them to products that center on Christianity. If our children are exposed to these things regularly, they will understand much more easily what we believe. That way, they will go throughout their lives with a firm foundation and a higher level of faith in what they believe.

For this reason, it is essential that we expose our kids to products that will facilitate this. With all the trash that our young people are exposed to every day in the media, they really need the positive effects of Christian products. There really is no substitute in this world we live in.

But where do you go to get things like this? If anyone out there is like me, you have looked in countless bookstores and stationary stores to find something worth buying. Maybe you have become frustrated, as I have, at the lack of selection of good things that would actually inspire the reader.

In my experience, Christian resources are best searched for at a physical or online Christian store. I don’t know why we would spend time at one of the bigger retailers when there are plenty of smaller shops that have just what we need? My family and I love these stores. I like a number of their products, but especially the following few.

First off, I have no trouble finding excellent children’s books and items to educate. It has been somewhat worrying to me to expose my kids to all these popular books that have no morals. I just don’t think they would be taking in the messages that I want them to take in. With Christian books, my worries are no longer.

Next are the boxed cards. I can always find what I need in the way of greeting cards or holiday cards. I use them just to send thank you’s to people and also to wish people holiday greeting on the various holidays throughout the year.

One more thing I like is the Christian artwork that I can buy to hang in my home. It’s very important to have a home that is a good environment for gospel study and happy family relationships. With Christ art and other uplifting art on the walls, I feel much better about everything.

My key message here is that families benefit greatly by using Christian resources in the home. I cannot overstate the importance of exposing children to positive resources when they are young. This will set an irreversible course in their life that they will be glad they followed. It’s all about Christian resources, so stop by a store and start buying stuff.

As Christians, we need to be on the lookout for the best products for our families. Christian resources are located atChristian specialty shops across the nation or online for your convenience.

So before the beginning it was a thought then 'in the beginning' he expressed it and it

The same was in the beginning with God." John 1:1 -2. The word here is from the Greek logos
and it means a thought expressed. First it was a thought then it is expressed and becomes a word.
It's the thought plus the expression of that though t. In the beginning was the logos but before the
beginning it was just a thought. The word in the beginning does not mean eternity. First, the
Almighty Spirit dwelt alone in eternity, before the beginning, with his thoughts in his mind. After he finished counseling with himself he began to express the thoughts. This was the
beginning of the logos of God. You cannot separate the mind of a man from the man himself,
neither can you separate the thoughts of God from God.

So before the beginning it was a thought then ‘in the beginning’ he expressed it and it
became word. “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1 -2. The word here is from the Greek logos
and it means a thought expressed. First it was a thought then it is expressed and becomes a word.
It’s the thought plus the expression of that though t.

Therefore, we can certainly understand that John 1:1 is not speaking of a second person of God, but rather of God revealing his own thoughts. The logos is the self-revelation of the Almighty Invisible
God who is Spirit. Many interpret these verses to say ‘in the beginning was Jesus and Jesus was with God and Jesus was God.’ However, take this to 1 John 1:1 -2 in the light of the truth of the oneness of God.

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes,
which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was
manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which
was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;).” According to this verse the word God in John 1:1 can be replaced with the Father. We see it as saying this, ‘In the beginning was the word and the word was with the Father and the word was the Father.’ If we replace the word with Jesus or Son we then get a Jesus only doctrine of God. However, the truth of these verses is that the word or logos is God’s self-revelation and not a second person of the Trinity. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it
shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11. The word of God is his revelation of
himself and not a second person of the Godhead. The Old and New Testaments do not speak of
several persons of God, but they speak of the one true God who works in different ways to reveal himself.

He worked through angels, temporary theophanies, spiritual manifestations like a fire and
a cloud, a whirlwind, prophets, kings, priests, even a hand that wrote on a wall in Babylon. He
also by supernatural intervention created a little embryo in the womb of virgin of Israel, of the
tribe of Judah and the seed of David. This child was born and named Jesus, he was the Son of
God. He was anointed of God and was the perfect man whom God used to express himself. Now,
he works through his Church, the body of Christ to manifest himself. All these manifestations are
the word/revelation of God being made known. It’s not thousands of words of God, but it’s the
word of God. It’s God’s plan, purpose, mind, thoughts and counsel revealed or expressed to
mankind. The word was God the Father’s rev elation not Jesus Christ, but the same word became
flesh and tabernacled among us in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the word made manifest in
flesh. The word was expressed temporarily through the different theophanies God used during in
the Old Testament Scriptures, but the word became a man in Jesus of Nazareth. He became the permanent tabernacle and manifestation of the word of God. Whatever means God uses to
express himself is the word or logos of God.

[Note: The LOGOS is not one for one with Jesus, the Son of God. ‘The word was God’ not the
Son of God, but Jesus was the flesh and tabernacle of the LOGOS. I John 1:1 tells us that the
LOGOS is ETERNAL LIFE. Jesus tells us that the Father has life IN himself and has GIVEN to
the Son to have life in himself. He has given the same eternal life to all children of God. The
LOGOS is the very anointing that emanated from Yahweh in the beginning. It could take the
form of the Spiritual or Word Body of the Almighty Spirit who covered all space and time. The
LOGOS also took other forms like the pillar of fire and cloud or the shekinah glory of Yahweh.
That same LOGOS came in Spirit form, like a dove, upon and took up Its Tabernacle in Jesus
when he was anointed at 30 years of age for his ministry.

The LOGOS is not the Son of God, but the life/spirit of Sonship is in the LOGOS. Think of the FIRST APPLE SEED, all other apple seeds that come forth will come from that one ORIGINAL SEED. The Son of God was typed/revealed in the OT times in the LOGOS; Melchisidec, the Angel of the Covenant, The PROPHET coming to Abraham in the days of Lot, etc. That spirit or attribute of Sonship was expressed in the LOGOS during the OT, but it was simply the manifestation of God and it ‘was God’, there was no distinct individual called the Son of God at that time. The Father-Son relationship was not yet in existence even though he was showing it forth in type at that time. The relationship was still just a plan in the mind of
the Father, but when Jesus was born the spirit of Sonship came forth from the LOGOS and was
breathed into him just as the breath or spirit of life was breathed into Adam. Then that Father-
Son relationship began to be fulfilled. The ORIGINAL SEED is the LOGOS and all seeds come from the ORIGINAL. Therefore all of the Bride of Christ are predestinated seeds and come forth from that one ORIGINAL SEED, the LOGOS. We were all glorified with Christ Jesus in the
LOGOS before the foundation of the world according to Jesus’ prayer in John 17. All seeds come from the ORIGINAL. Jesus is
the ‘firstborn’ SEED and the elect are his ‘many brethren.

Many Americans that are dealing with struggles and challenges in their lives will choose to see a Christian counselor in hopes of helping the recovery process. Counselors help clients by looking at situations from a different perspective than the client can and by providing sound advice on how to handle the situation. Christian counselors differ from secular counselors because their guidance is based on Scripture and its teachings.

If you are currently seeing a Christian counselor or considering doing so in the future, here are some things that you can do to get the most out of the experience.

1. Go Consistently

One of the most important things you can do is to be consistent with your appointments. Most counselors will want to see you on some sort of regular schedule, such as once per week or once per month. In order to get the most out or your appointments an the time that you are spending with the counselor, be consistent and stick to the schedule. There are many distractions and interferences that can cause a few appointments to be missed, but be staying consistent you will give yourself the best chance to overcome the issues that you are facing, and to do so in as short a span of time as possible.

2. Pray

Christian counselors typically emphasize the importance of prayer with their clients. Whether you are in session with the counselor or on your own facing a difficult situation, make prayer a part of your life and ask for God’s help in properly dealing with the issues that you are facing.

3. Be Open and Willing to Change

Many of us go to counseling with the attitude that other people are the cause of all of our pain and they are the ones that need to change. Regardless of who is at fault, we can always improve our situation be being willing to change ourselves if needed. Focusing inwards on ourselves rather than outwards on other people will lead to a more healthy attitude about the situations, and we will actually be able to make some progress.

4. Really Listen to the Counselor

Most counselors make an effort to let the client do most of the talking during the session. Their focus is on listening to you and understanding your situation. In order to get the most out of your time with the counselor, make it a priority to really listen to what the counselor is telling you and the advice that they give.

5. Concentrate on Changing the Things that are Within Your Control

Many of the issues that will cause you trouble will involve all kinds of factors that are outside of your control. Getting hung up on these details and increasingly angry will not help the situation if you are not able to have an impact. Rather, focus on those things that you can control, such as your own attitude and actions, and you’ll find the results to be much more significant.

I got a reply from a believer in Minnesota to an article I wrote about Gog and Magog and that it comes before the tribulation period and the millennial reign of Jesus the Christ. There are references to Gog and Magog in two different places; one in Revelation 20:8 and the other in Ezekiel 38 and 39. That is where this “dispute” comes from.

He stated, “you were talking about Gog and Magog on THIS side of the Millenium – actually Armageddon is on this side and Gog and Magog are at the end of the Millenium”

This was a solid point that was made. He was correct and so was I.

Revelation 20:8 refers to after the 1,000 year kingdom of Messiah and Ezekiel is referring to a time prior to the tribulation period. Here was my response to our brother.

Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Ezekiel 38:2-6

This is Meshech (Moscow), Tubal (Tobolsk), Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (quite possibly what is now the Sudan), Libya, Gomer and Togarmah (possibly Turkey) will gather with as a coalition against “the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel”

They will come down to “take a spoil” (Ezekiel 38:12) which is why I believe brother Branham could say Russia will come down against Israel for their oil, which they are just now discovering, amazingly enough.

Now, here is why I believe this is prior to the tribulation period.

As a result of the war God will send fire and hailstones out of heaven to destroy the armies gathered against Israel.

And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Ezekiel 39:9-12

According to these verses they will be cleaning up from the destruction that God wrought for 7 years and it will take 7 months to bury all the dead. After the millennium a fire comes from heaven to cleanse the entire earth. There will be no need to spend 7 years cleaning up the mess and burying the dead.

Of course, this isn’t an issue that has to do with our salvation, but its a prophecy of scripture that speaks of an event that will come to pass shortly. We shall see.

One Historian of that movement stated that William Branham was “a prophet to our generation”, and a Pentecostal Historian wrote, “Branham filled the largest stadiums and meeting halls in the world.”

William Branham was born April 6, 1909 in a log cabin in the Kentucky hills, the first of nine children for Charles and Ella Branham. Raised near Jeffersonville, Indiana, he knew a life of poverty and hardship, his father being an alcoholic and illiterate. On top of this, the young boy was considered “nervous”, because from an early age he spoke of “visions” and “a voice” which spoke to him out of a wind, saying, “Don’t ever drink, or smoke, or defile your body in any way. There will be a work for you to do when you get older.”

William Branham was born April 6, 1909 in a log cabin in the Kentucky hills, the first of nine children of Charles and Ella Branham. Reared near Jeffersonville, Indiana, he knew only a life of deep poverty and hardship, his father being alcoholic and illiterate. Compounding these circumstances, the young boy was considered “nervous”, because from an early age he spoke of “visions” and “a voice” which spoke to him out of a wind, saying, “Don’t ever drink, or smoke, or defile your body in any way. There will be a work for you to do when you get older.”

On June 11, 1933, William Branham was baptizing new believers in the Ohio River near Jeffersonville, Indiana, when a bright light suddenly appeared over his head and a voice spoke out, “As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Jesus Christ, so are you sent to forerun His second coming!” The next edition of the Jeffersonville Evening News reported the incident with the subheading, “Mysterious Star Appears Over Minister While Baptizing”.

In May of 1946, he went to prayer to seek God for the meaning of his strange life. As he prayed alone late one night, an angel of light appeared, saying, “Do not fear. I am sent from the presence of Almighty God to tell you that your peculiar birth and misunderstood life has been to indicate that you are to take a gift of Divine healing to the peoples of the world. If you will be sincere when you pray and can get the people to believe you, nothing shall stand before your prayer, not even cancer. You will go into many parts of the earth and will pray for kings and rulers and potentates. You will preach to multitudes the world over and thousands will come to you for counsel.”

In May of 1946, he set himself aside to seek God for the meaning of his strange life. As he prayed alone late one night, an angel of light appeared, saying, “Do not fear. I am sent from the presence of Almighty God to tell you that your peculiar birth and misunderstood life has been to indicate that you are to take a gift of Divine healing to the peoples of the world. You will go into many parts of the earth and will pray for kings and rulers and potentates. You will preach to multitudes the world over and thousands will come to you for counsel.” This was literally fulfilled in the years that followed, for his ministry took him around the world seven times and many individuals of public influence, including Congressman Upshaw of the U.S.A. (left figure) and King George VI of England, were healed as a result of his prayers.

As news spread of miraculous healings, pastors from all around began to call Bro. William Branham to minister for their congregations and pray for the sick. A supernatural sign had been given him for the purpose of encouraging the people to believe. Firstly, a physical sign in his hand would indicate a disease or healing. Later on in his ministry the secret thoughts and needs of individuals were revealed, resulting in faith for deliverance.

It became abundantly clear to any serious Bible reader, that William Branham was ordained a Prophet to fulfill the many scriptural prophecies concerning our time.

Churches could not hold all the people that came, and the meetings moved to auditoriums or stadiums for united campaigns in the major cities of North America. Later his ministry took on a whole different meaning and purpose according to the purpose and calling of God.

Have you ever felt guilty about asking God for something feeling that you were unworthy, or undeserving? Have you ever had questions that needed answering regarding areas of your life? Have you ever had obstacles to overcome or doors you needed to be opened? The Bible clearly shows us how to receive the things we need. As a matter of fact, Jesus, Himself told us what we need to do to receive the blessings that God has for each and every one of us. Jesus said,

“Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks will receive, and anyone who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to those who knock. Would any of you who are fathers give your son a stone when he asks for bread? Or would you give him a snake when he asks for a fish? Bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”(NLT Matthew 7:7-11).

Jesus tells us to do three things. Ask, Seek, and Knock. Many times we fail to get the answers we need or have our needs met simply because we neglect to do what Jesus said to do. Ask, He said and you will receive. Seek, and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened to you. He goes on to point out that God, our heavenly Father, wants to give us good things. God wants to bless us!

In order to receive the blessings God has for us, we must spend time with Him, including Him in every part of our lives. We must talk to Him and ask Him for the things we need, believing and trusting that He will supply all of our needs (Philippians 4:19). We also have to seek Him, not half-heartedly every now and then, but diligently each and every day, believing in Him and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

When we truly start seeking God on a daily basis, including Him in our lives, acknowledging His presence, trusting Him to take care of us, and asking Him for His guidance, then we will begin see our prayers answered and our needs met. We will begin to know and hear His voice and He will lead us in the direction that we need go.

Remember, God loves you. He wants and has the very best for you. And it’s all yours for the asking. So go ahead, Ask, Seek and Knock. He is waiting to open the door and pour out His goodness on you.
